Life’s journey is a winding road, full of unexpected twists and turns that test our strength and resilience. For the past year and a half, I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride through hospitals, treatments, and moments of uncertainty. Today, as I ring the bell to mark the end of my last treatment, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey that has brought me to this point.
🎗 A Battle Fought: Over the course of the last 18 months, I’ve faced challenges that I could have never imagined. Six grueling rounds of chemotherapy, three surgeries that pushed the boundaries of my endurance, 28 rounds of radiation that required unwavering determination, and 14 rounds of maintenance treatments that tested my patience. Each step was a battle, and yet, here I stand, victorious.
🙏 A Support System Beyond Measure: In the darkest moments, a guiding light emerged in the form of the incredible people who surrounded me. To my unwavering family, my steadfast old friends, the newfound companions who walked into my life, my beloved theater family, my supportive work colleagues, and the moms in my neighborhood who lent a helping hand – your presence was my refuge. Your unwavering support, kind words, and gestures of love carried me through the toughest days. This victory isn’t mine alone; it belongs to all of you who stood by me.
